Description

Overview

PE Coated Metallized Film is a co-extruded flexible packaging web that combines two functional layers in a single, converter-ready roll. A metallized polyester (VM-PET) substrate carries a vacuum-deposited aluminum layer for light, oxygen and aroma barrier, while a polyethylene (PE) coating applied by extrusion lamination forms the inner sealant layer of the finished pouch or sachet.

Because the PE layer is already integrated, converters can laminate the film directly to a print web and run horizontal or vertical form-fill-seal (HFFS / VFFS) without a separate sealant film. The PET base adds high tensile strength, dimensional stability and temperature resistance that polypropylene cannot match — making the structure suitable for hot-fill and retort-compatible laminates when paired with the right PE grade.

Available in widths up to 2750 mm, the film is supplied slit-to-order.
